BANFF CHRISTMAS CAMP

Banff Christmas Hockey Camp

Spend the Holidays on Mountain Ice

6th Annual AB Hockey Banff Christmas Camp · December 27–30, 2026 · Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre

For six years, families have made the AB Hockey Banff Christmas Camp part of their winter — four days of focused, high-energy development in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Players are split into two teams that compete all week, building real game chemistry and culminating in a Championship Game. Come for the camp, stay for the skiing, skating, and snow.

Real Development

Curriculum-based powerskating, skills, and gameplay that build from simple to complex across the week — not a drop-in clinic.

Compete All Week

Two teams, daily games, and a Championship Game finish. The format kids remember and ask to come back for.

A Banff Holiday

Camp by morning, mountains by afternoon. The Fenlands sits right in the Banff townsite, minutes from skiing, trails, and hot springs.

Meet Your Coach

Camp is led by Andy Boudreau, AB Hockey’s lead instructor. Off the ice, Andy brings a Kinesiology degree from Brock University, NHL training-camp internships, and 8+ years as a strength coach for athletes of all ages and levels. On the ice, he draws on a lifetime of hockey played competitively at the university, minor-pro, junior, and AAA levels. Expect an organized, high-energy teaching style and a genuine focus on each player’s development.

Make a Trip of It

Traveling in from Calgary, Edmonton, or beyond? Banff over the holidays is a destination in its own right. The Fenlands is right in the townsite, so between morning sessions families are minutes from world-class skiing at Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise, the Banff Upper Hot Springs, outdoor skating and snowshoe trails, and the shops and restaurants of downtown Banff. Many camp families build a full mountain getaway around their player’s week on the ice — develop in the morning, explore in the afternoon.
